# Real-Money Rewards Review Notes

Parcel Empire has a real-rewards framework, but real payouts should remain disabled until the legal and platform requirements are complete.

## Safe default mode
- `REAL_REWARDS_ENABLED` should stay disabled.
- The UI may show rewards as beta, pending, or coming soon.
- Payout requests should not be processed without verified rules and a provider.

## Required before enabling payouts
- Legal review for target countries.
- Age and region restrictions.
- Verified account requirement.
- Fraud prevention.
- Payout terms and eligibility rules.
- Tax handling.
- Support and dispute process.
- Payment provider integration.
- Store policy review for Apple and Google.

## Avoid risky wording
Avoid saying:
- `Win real money`
- `Guaranteed income`
- `Investment`
- `Passive income investment`
- `Stake money to earn money`
- `Cash out instantly`

Prefer:
- `Reward eligibility varies by region`
- `Rewards are subject to approval`
- `Payouts are disabled during beta`
- `Virtual currency has no cash value unless official rewards are enabled in your region`

## Important product distinction
Do not design the game so users pay or stake money on chance-based outcomes for a chance to cash out. That can create gambling/lottery/legal issues. If users can earn redeemable rewards, make the rules skill/activity/advertising based, transparent, capped and reviewed.
